About

High fire potter and human creating  between the ocean and coastal mountains in Northern California. Uses the word vibe more often than appropriate.

For me, the motions of being a potter are quite romantic: spending time listening to the clay and how it wants to move (or not move), connecting with grounding elements and sourcing them with love, trusting the firing and reduction process to inform a finished piece's story and appearance, and bringing forms into the world with the intention of making space for what's to fill them.

Whether it’s drinking natural wine at sunset or sharing a foraged meal on the coast (or anything far and beyond),
these vessels are intended to be present for both for both daily rituals and cherished communion.

While my practice is based heavily on gas firing throughout the year, winter months are always reserved for wood firing. Current primary interests include atmospheric firing, kiln building, learning how to continue creating a more sustainable firing practice, and exploring natural materials.
